Medical & dental cleaning
Clinic cleaning that respects your infection control protocol
A dental or medical practice has two cleaning standards running at once. Your clinical team handles operatory turnover, instrument reprocessing and anything the IPAC manual assigns to them. Everything else, from the waiting room chairs to the sterilization area floor, the staff washroom and the reception counter, needs a cleaner who understands why a clinic is not an office and acts accordingly.

Why a clinic cannot be cleaned like an office
CedarPact Facility Group cleans dental offices, family practices, walk-in clinics, physiotherapy and specialist clinics across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley after your last patient leaves. We agree a written checklist that is explicit about what we touch and what we never touch, use Health Canada registered disinfectants with a DIN, and document each visit so your practice manager has a record for the next assessment.
Patients read a clinic's cleanliness as a proxy for its clinical care. A dusty baseboard in the operatory, a smeared light handle or a waiting room washroom without soap raises a question in the patient's mind that your hygienist then has to answer. In a practice that lives on referrals and online reviews, that question is expensive.
Dental practices in BC answer to the BC College of Oral Health Professionals and its infection prevention and control standards, and physicians' community offices are assessed by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC. Those frameworks sit on top of clinical practice, but the environmental cleaning around it still needs to be consistent and provable.
Clinics also carry ordinary risks: a wet lobby floor on a rainy February afternoon, a child's toy area in family practice, sharps containers that must not be handled by cleaners, and patient records that must stay confidential. A cleaner who does not know the rules is a liability; one who follows a written protocol is part of your risk management.

Request a quoteWhen and how often clinics are cleaned
Most dental practices are cleaned five evenings a week after the last patient, with waiting room, washrooms and floors done every visit and detail dusting rotated. Medical clinics with Saturday hours or walk-in volume often add a sixth visit or a midday porter check on washrooms and the lobby floor. Practices open three or four days a week scale down to match. We build the frequency around your clinic days, patient volume and the layout of your treatment rooms.
IPAC, college standards and what we document
Dental offices in BC are regulated by the BC College of Oral Health Professionals, which sets infection prevention and control standards for the practice. Community physician offices fall under the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC, whose practice enhancement assessments draw on BC Centre for Disease Control guidance for infection prevention in the physician's office. Clinical reprocessing stays with your team; our work is the environmental cleaning around it.
We use hard-surface disinfectants that carry a Health Canada Drug Identification Number, applied with the contact time on the label, and a colour-coded microfibre system so washroom cloths never reach a treatment room. Staff are background-checked, WHMIS trained and bound by confidentiality where required. Each visit is logged, and documented inspection reports are available for your practice manager's binder.
What goes into your price
Every building is priced on these six things, on the spot at your walkthrough.
- Size of your space
- How often we clean
- Washrooms & kitchens
- Floors & glass
- Supplies included
- Periodic deep cleans
Medical & Dental: questions we hear a lot
Not covered here? Call (604) 341-2325 and a person answers, not a call centre.
Will your cleaners enter the operatories or exam rooms?
Only to the extent the written scope allows, which typically means floors, cabinet fronts, sink exteriors and counters, and never dental units, instruments, trays or anything your IPAC protocol reserves for clinical staff. We walk the rooms with your practice manager before the first visit and mark exactly where our work stops.
Can you provide records for an assessment or audit?
Yes. Each visit is logged against the checklist, quality inspections are documented, and your account manager can supply reports and the safety data sheets for every product used on site. Many practice managers keep these in the same binder as their IPAC and reprocessing records so everything is in one place.
How soon can you start?
Your start date is set at the walkthrough, so you know it before your account manager leaves. We handle the switch for you: keys, alarm codes, supply closets and the checklist are sorted before the first visit, so there is no gap between your current cleaner and us.
Are you insured, and are your cleaners background-checked?
Yes. CedarPact carries $2,000,000 in commercial general liability insurance, is bonded and insured, and is registered with WorkSafeBC. Our cleaners are background-checked, uniformed and trained in WHMIS 2015 and safe chemical handling.
