Post-construction cleaning
Post-construction cleaning that meets your occupancy date
A finished build is not finished until the drywall dust is out of the HVAC returns, the labels are off the glass and the floors are ready for the client walkthrough. CedarPact Facility Group provides post-construction cleaning for new builds, tenant improvements and renovations across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley, working with general contractors, property managers and owners who have an occupancy date to hit.

How it works
We clean in phases that match your schedule: a rough clean once the trades are mostly out, a final clean after finishes are complete, and a touch-up clean after deficiency work and move-in. Each phase has a written scope and checklist. We are WorkSafeBC registered, our staff are WHMIS trained, and our crews are prepared to work alongside other trades on an active site.
We meet your site superintendent or project manager, walk the space and confirm the phase schedule, access, power, water and which trades will still be on site. The scope lists each room and surface. Crews use HEPA vacuums to capture fine dust rather than push it around, microfibre to avoid scratching new finishes, and scrapers and solvents suited to each glass and flooring type.
Our crews complete your site safety orientation and wear the required PPE. We carry $2,000,000 in commercial general liability insurance and are bonded and insured, which most GC site requirements ask for. Work runs in the order your trades need it, floor by floor or suite by suite, and each phase is documented with an inspection report for your deficiency list.

Who asks for post-construction cleaning
Post-construction cleaning: questions we hear a lot
Not covered here? Call (604) 341-2325 and a person answers, not a call centre.
What is the difference between a rough clean and a final clean?
A rough clean happens while finishing trades are still on site: debris, bulk dust and packaging are removed so painters and flooring crews can work. A final clean happens after finishes are complete and covers every surface: glass, fixtures, millwork, floors, vents and hardware. A touch-up clean follows deficiency repairs and move-in.
Can you work around trades still on site?
Yes. We coordinate with your superintendent on sequencing, often cleaning completed floors or suites while work continues elsewhere. Our staff complete your site orientation, wear required PPE and follow your safety procedures. Where a trade comes back after our clean, we schedule a touch-up so the space is ready for handover.
Do you clean dental and medical fit-outs?
Yes. New clinics need a thorough final clean before equipment is installed and IPAC procedures begin. We detail cabinetry interiors, operatories, sterilization areas and washrooms, HEPA vacuum dust from vents and ledges, and remove construction residue from glass and flooring so your team can start from a clean baseline.
What should we have ready before you arrive?
Power and water on, major debris removed by the trades, protective floor coverings lifted unless you want them kept, and a contact who can answer questions on site. If labels or film must stay on specific items for inspection, tell us in advance. Your account manager will confirm the list with you before each phase.
